Heard on the radion this evening, on the way back from work. It's a quiz where the caller have to answer the question wrongly, and they'll win a prize.

One of the question:

Darren Hayes was an ex-member of which band?

I switched off the radio.

I am IN LOVE with Cowboy Bebop. And no,please don't let the kiddie-style title put you down. Cos it's definitely one of the best anime out there in the world. The director, Shnichiro Watanabe had also involved in two of Animatrix most interesting series- The Kid's Story and The Detective Story. He is the best in the noir-setting session. The composer, Yoko Kanno, yes, he's a she, had involved in some of the greatest anime sounds out there- Record of Lodoss War and Escaflowne. She is like Diane Warren of the anime soundtracks.

Seriously, the characters were perfectly imperfect! They have flaws, they have past, they are three dimensional that you just can't help rooting for them. The story showed a deep understanding of the character. The technology was great, the music brought the mood of the story. And dammit, I never laugh so hard at Spike's expression when the refrigerator door slowly opened.

Let's continue to the music. You'll love it. It's jazzy, yet, you'll love it. I know I love it. They're right when they called Yoko Kanno a genius, for she truly is. She knows her character, her story.

And now, I wish everyone who ever encountered my blog. Get the soundtrack, get the series, get the movie. You hell wont be disappointed.
